What We Are Doing

According to an article in the Harlingen Monitor, KMBH has undergone an audit from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.  From the report, KMBH appears to be in noncompliance for not establishing a Community Advisory Board.  We are waiting to hear more.  Because of this potential threat to public radio in the valley, we have organized to bring in a new station.

We have had two organizing open board meetings.  The minutes can be read on the board page. From these meetings we are forming a management board and two community advisory boards, one in the Upper Valley and one in the Lower Valley. We are contacting potential donors.  To show donors that there is plenty of support for a public radio station we have a web page where people can sign up to show their support.  They can also indicate ways in which they can support the station with energy as a volunteer,  become a member, or donate money. We have a flyer that folks can pass out to others so that they too may sign up.  Can you help spread the word? We are on Twitter and Facebook.  Please visit us there.
